Dale Warland, the famed music director of one of the world's great choirs, the Dale Warland Singers, says: "There is a magic about the music of Christmas, and choirs seem to express it to a T. There's also such a wealth of great choral music some of which we hear frequently, but there are also some gems that people don't know about. We want listeners to enjoy a range of this wonderful music."

This holiday season, Warland will host a one-hour celebration of Christmas choral music new and old. Drawing from his own deep library of choral recordings, Warland focuses on familiar and treasured pieces but also on attractive and accessible surprises perfect for Christmas listening.

He's a familiar presence this time of year on public radio. For nearly 25 years, he brought radio audiences Echoes of Christmas, a treasured holiday program heard across the country. Last year, he announced his retirement from leading the Dale Warland Singers, but he remains as active as ever in the wider choral field, composing his own new music and guest conducting around the world.
