Biography: Little Singers of Armenia
The Little Singers of Armenia, founded in 1992, unites 40 gifted children
selected from music schools in and around Armenia's capital city,
to perform medieval, folk, sacred, classical, contemporary, pop and
jazz music. An active participant in the cultural life of the Republic,
the Choir presents many charity concerts in Armenia and abroad, and
has toured Europe, the U.S.A. and Egypt. Recipient of both a Gold
and Silver Medal in the Golden Gate International Competition, the
Choir also is founder of the Children's Choral Competition "Yerevan-96".
Professor
Tigran Hekekyan teaches at Komitas State Conservatory and is Founder
and President of the Armenian Little Singers International Association,
as well as Artistic Director and Conductor of the Little Singers of
Armenia Choir. The recipient of numerous awards, he was honored by
the President of the Republic of Armenia with the Medal of Movses
Khorenatsi for his contributions to the national culture.

Biography:
Cantoría de Mérida
Founded in 1975 by Professor Ruben Rivas, Cantoría de Mérida
is one of the most widely acclaimed choral groups in Venezuela. The
Choir has played an important role in presenting the works of Venezuelan
composers, as well as choral works from around the world. The Choir
operates through the state government of Mérida, and most of
its members are university students. The Choir has completed 7 international
tours, including a trip to the United States to present Venezuelan
choral workshops to more than 5,000 children in New York and New Jersey.
A consistent award winner, the Choir was the first from Venezuela
to win an international award.

Biography:
St. Jacob's Chamber Choir
St. Jacob´s Chamber Choir was founded in 1980 and performs regularly
at services and concerts in St. Jacob´s Church in the center
of Stockholm. Renowned for its church music, former conductors include
Eric Ericson and Stefan Sköld. The Choir´s repertoire consists
of a cappella works in a wide range of styles and periods, as well
as such larger works as Bach's Mass in b-minor. The Choir has collaborated
with numerous orchestras, and has commissioned and premiered many
new works, including compositions by Sven-David Sandström, Georg
Riedel, Bo Hansson and Gunno Södersten. Enjoying an excellent
reputation in Europe, the Choir has won many important competitions
including the European Grand Prize, Tolosa, Arezzo, Debrecen and EBU´s
"Let the Peoples Sing."
Gary
Graden is Choral Director at St. Jacob´s Church. He founded
and conducts the Stockholm Musikgymnasium´s Chamber Choir, and
has won several Grand Prizes at international choir competitions.
He is a member of the vocal quintet Lamentabile Consort, and a former
soloist with the Eric Ericson Chamber Choir. In demand as a guest
conductor, lecturer and adjudicator, he was the 1997 recipient of
the Johannes Norrby Medal for Excellence in Choral Conducting.
