In its seventh year, Music@Menlo has rapidly become one of the world's top-tier chamber music festivals due to the quality of performance and its goal to rejuvenate the classical music experience. The founders and Artistic Directors are Wu Han and David Finckel, two of the most influential musicians in classical music today. Music@Menlo stands apart from other chamber festivals in its emphasis on innovation. For example, the festival trains young, talented musicians by introducing them to highly respected musicians who are not only ensemble coaches, but also mentors in how to be forward-thinking, professional musicians. Music@Menlo also sets out to train listeners by giving them tools to understand classical music and engaging them in a conversation about why it is important.
