| Description: | Summary: The Senior Web Producer, Marketplace will help set the vision & lead the digital efforts of Marketplace and oversee its programming on www.marketplace.org. This position is an opportunity for a dynamic leader to take Marketplace's content strategy to the next level. As part of that effort, the Sr. Web Producer will create and support efforts to substantially grow Marketplace's online audience. (S)he also will serve as advocate and ambassador for the Marketplace Digital internally and externally. The Sr. Web Producer will integrate the Public Insight Network into Marketplace's online programming & work closely with the Marketplace radio program staff, Digital Media, and IT to ensure that Marketplace is advancing its mission and vision on relevant digital media platforms, growing audience and delivering innovative programming. With audience building as an imperative, the Senior Web Producer will be and stay current with digital media trends, metrics and competitors. - Play a leadership role in defining the editorial vision and success criteria for Marketplace's online programming. - Oversee the day-to-day digital programming to ensure it aligns with the editorial vision and success criteria. - Communicate progress against success criteria and learnings to the rest of the company. - Senior assigning editor, ensuring forward-looking, insightful and innovative online programming. - Serves as senior quality control staff member for online programming. - Member of editorial management team charged with running Marketplace. - Encourages and ensures there is continual experimentation and innovation in online programming. Req's: - BA or BS - Min 7 years experience in digital production, min 3 years in the journalism industry. - Sr online leadership experience is REQUIRED - must demonstrate an ability to foster high standards and an ability to coach, inspire and lead.
